Site Manager
Production and Operations
- Drive KPI’s, develop and refine intermediate milestones, and execute on planned measurable targets.
- Organize and effectively manage the site team and subcontractor activities.
- Enforce company policies and safety protocols onsite.
- Participate in hiring new employees, coaching, and mentoring current employees
- Proactively manage the Operations Team’s production, repair, and maintenance schedules.
- Schedule and manage equipment maintenance, and preventative actions.
- Manage inventory and consumption of repair parts and site inventory for the parts.
- Assist with operating equipment when needed.
- Support the ongoing quality objectives for the site’s products.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure quality and specifications are met and optimized.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports and documentation as required.
- Working with the General Manager and/or Production Manager, assists with managing the site’s budget.
Safety
- Engage in daily safety communication activities (i.e. huddles, safety audits, workplace inspections, FLHA’s, tailgate talks, etc).
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and company policies is followed by anyone onsite, and report / quickly resolve any observed safety violations and / or hazards to management.
- Ensure that Health and Safety training and ongoing observation is carried out in accordance with legislative Surface Miner requirements and internal protocols.
- Actively work on continuous improvement and refinement of procedures and processes.
- Execute on the ongoing annual safety improvement plan for the Aggregates Group.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience managing an aggregates sites is required (+10 years highly recommended).
- Applicable Surface Miner transcripts as required.
- Physically able to bend, pull, push, and lift 50lbs consistently, while climbing and maneuvering on and around equipment or machinery.
- Strong proficiency in repair. maintenance, and operation of aggregate equipment and rolling stock.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills; detail-oriented, strong execution skills, thorough and accurate.
- Ability to work well under pressure and actively work with change management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills, enthusiastic and shows initiative with a positive attitude.
- Strong coaching, mentorship, and cross training skills.
