The Crupi Group of Companies is a family-run business that has serviced Toronto and surrounding areas since 1951 in the road construction, aggregate material and maintenance industries.

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Plant Operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment, maintenance tasks, and utilizing the ticket system at our asphalt plant facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment (i.e. loaders) at the asphalt plant.
• Utilize the ticket system.
• Answer phones and interact with customers.
• Physical duties as required (i.e. shoveling).

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Comfortable working outdoors.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Must be available to work flexible shifts.  Evenings and nights are required at various times throughout the season.

This role is a unionized position; must be prepared to register with Local 793.  The hourly rate is set as per the collective agreement.

This position is Seasonal Full-Time with the availability of year-round work for those interested in winter snow removal positions.
