Don Valley Parkway

Contracted by the City of Toronto (annual maintenance contract)

The Don Valley Parkway annual maintenance project is tendered every construction season and Crupi has all of the tools required to complete the project on time meeting and exceeding the quality standards set out by The City of Toronto.

This project requires the Crupi team to coordinate with City of Toronto for a full closure of the Don Valley Parkway both North and Southbound directions for an entire weekend. The work involves milling/paving Superpave FC2 polymer modified asphalt with multiple crews.

This contract in particular brings several unique challenges including weather related concerns, working around City forces and their subcontractors conducting their own repair works during the closure, as well as ensuring we have many contingency plans in place both onsite and at our asphalt plant locations in event of unforeseen circumstances.

Crupi also manages our own subcontractors for scope of crack sealing, line painting, guiderail repair, culvert cleaning, ditching and electrical loop works.

Our team is very proud of how well we consistently work with the City of Toronto transportation department with mutual respect and run a concurrent and efficient operation.
